1st year Event @ Unit17c
What a year it’s been! From collecting the keys on January 5th 2016, and opening our doors to the public on February 4th 2016, and the continued support we receive and provide to our members and PT clients, it’s been a year to remember!
To celebrate the one year opening of Unit17c, we would like to invite you to attend a day of training, laughs, a little coffee and cake, and concluded by joining us later for a few drinks and giggles.
On Saturday 11th February @ 10am to 1pm, we will be holding a small team games event to bring our members, family & friends and the public together to take part in some fun team events.
Why not bring along a friend or family member and show them just how strong you are?
After the games, there will be some light refreshments laid on so you can chat and recover.
The games that we are planning won’t be anything too technical, and anyone attending will be able to take part. If you don’t want to participate in the games that’s fine, just come along and support those who are, or just have a coffee!
The movements to be included will be drawn from the list below:
- Rowing / Ski erg / Assault Bike
- Kettle Bell swings
- Goblet Squat
- Push Press / Press Overhead (barbell or Kettle Bell)
- Deadlift (barbell or Kettle Bell)
- Front Squat (Barbell / Kettle Bell)
- Back Squat
- Thrusters (Barbell / Kettle Bell)
- Wall Balls
- Slam Balls
- Pull up (bodyweight or band assisted)
- Press Up
- Box Jumps (or step up)
Ideally, it would be great to have 4 teams of 5 people, but there will be a few games so everyone should be able to get involved in at least one event.
Every week until the actual event, we will be releasing a small workout that gives some snippets of what to expect on the day…just remember it’s all a bit of fun!
In the evening, we will be meeting up to have a few drinks at a local venue (to be confirmed) from 7:30 onwards. It would be great to see you all in normal clothes!
So, put the date in the diary, gather a few friends and come and celebrate our birthday with us!
